FIELD OF WORKS
OCEANOGRAPHIC RESEARCH
›
Assessment, evaluation and interpretation of the physical characteristics (pH, temperature, salinity, etc.) of the sea based on the design of the engineering structures planned to be constructed at sea or the determination of the sea current, direction and speed values for the analysis of marine pollution and environmental effects (dispersion of oil pollution etc.) and Oceanographic Surveys.
Within the scope of oceanographical survey studies, the following measurements are generally carried out;
CTD Surveying
The change in depth of the physical parameters such as density, salinity, temperature and conductivity of sea water is measured.
FLOW SURVEYING
It is surveied and mapped either at the point or along a line depending on the flow rate and the depth of the direction.
METO-OCEANOGRAPHIC SURVEYING
Meteorological measurements and wavelength measurements are made at the coast. Wave period, wave length and depth of refraction calculations are made for coastal protection structures or coastal engineering structures. Changes in the level of the continuous tide are recorded with the tidegac located at the edge of the coast.
